I didn't join WP to fight userbox wars. I joined to improve some articles on Christian theology, many of which are quite simply, attrociously bad. In my time here, I have observed administrators abusing authority, inventing rules, edit warring, and vandalizing pages. Rather than enforce the rules that are there by community consensus, you vandalize templates, change the fundamental messages of templates that you don't use and don't want to use to say something completely different than what the users who use the templates want to say. What you can't achieve through community consensus, you enforce through edit warring. Best of luck. I mean no ill will to any of you whatsoever. I just feel that my views are incompatible with the way things are done here. Good day.
[edit] Goodbye
Sorry to see you join the list of casualties of the Userbox War. I respect your decision to leave, but I hope you will view this as a long Wikibreak, and check back in occasionally to see if things have improved. You'll be remembered either way. TheJabberwʘckhelp! 21:16, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- Shame to see another quality user discouraged by the actions of a few. Perhaps we will hear from you again later! Brisvegas 10:41, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- Someone felt compelled to delete my comments to you. I'll second Brisvegas' comments. I sorry to see you go because of the deplorable actions of a very small minority. JohnnyBGood t c 16:42, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Don't give up!
Hi BigDT.
I'm not sure if you'll read this now, but I just wanted to say
'Don't Give UP!!!!'
I was also stuck in the userbox wars for awhile, and it got me down. I was lucky enough to stumble across a user called JDoorjam, who helped me out, and reminded me that the point of being here is to write an Encyclopaedia. Instead of worrying if my userboxes were going deleted, JDoorjam helped me sudst them, and he'll do the same for you if you want.
The point is, there's more in wikipedia than those userboxes. I you feel that you have to leave the project, then good luck to you. However, there is always a place for you here.

Don't give up! I am aware that there's an admin who has proposed deletion of many user boxes. I've also experienced what you had experienced. I hope that you return to wikipedia. Anonymous_anonymous_Have a Nice Day_Crusher of Hopes and Dreams 08:19, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
