Bigeye trevally, Caranx sexfasciatus, is a fast, saltwater fish found throughout the Indo-Pacific as well as the southern Atlantic Oceans. From California to Africa. It inhabits coastal waters and oceanic reefs and have also been known to enter rivers. During the day, they form big schools which disperse to feed at night on fish and crustaceans. It has a large head with large eyes and a silvery body, and a distinguishing white tip on the dorsal fin. They reach a maximum length of 120cm and weigh up to 18kg.

The Bigeye trevally is commercially fished and are also popular as a game fish. It can be found sold fresh in markets.
