Big Town Playboys

The Big Town Playboys are a six-piece acoustic British rhythm and blues revival group. Founded by Mike Sanchez and Ian Jennings in 1984, they cover American music from the 1940s and 1950s, such as that of Champion Jack Dupree and John Lee Hooker.
The Big Town Playboys have released three solo studio albums, as well as a collaborative project with Jeff Beck re-creating the songs of Gene Vincent. Several of their songs also appeared on the soundtrack of the film The Pope Must Diet. Eric Clapton has voiced an admiation for their work, and they have performed as a backing band for Robert Plant.[1]
