Big Sandy Independent School District is a public school district based in the community of Dallardsville, Texas (USA).
The SMALL town consists of a school, a post office, a barbeque place, and numerous scattered houses, farms, and backroads.

Logging is the main industry. The inhabitants of Big Sandy travel approximately 30 miles to Livingston to the nearest shopping area, or approximately 30 miles in the opposite direction to Woodville.
