Big Monster Toys, established May, 1988, is the largest and arguably most successful toy and game inventing company in the world. The company is located in the West Loop section of Chicago just a ten minute walk from the "Loop". The studio occupies about 18,000 square feet of space for over 25 designers, devoted to inventing the toys and games to be licensed around the world. Their facility boasts an audio recording studio, a full machine shop and a digital editing facility, and the building's unique exterior artwork is quickly making it a Chicago landmark.
Big Monster Toys creates, engineers and develops the products from inception to finished working prototypes. BMT also develops the marketing position and often the name, packaging and promotional material. BMT then licenses the toys to one of the 20 largest toy companies in the world. Their clients include Mattel, Hasbro, Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, Fisher Price, Zizzle, Playmates, Radica, Manley , Spinmaster and numerous others.
Some important products that have emerged from the great minds at Big Monster Toys include Uno Attack, Fashion Polly Pocket , Bulls Eye Ball, Ocean Wonders Aquarium, and "The Apprentice" Game, Baby Skates, Shop N Bop Baby, My Size Barbie, Tippy Toes doll, Trump the Game, Guesstures, California Roller Baby, Mighty Max, Jennie Gymnast, Jibber Jabber, Magic Tumble Surprise, Brain Bash, Brain Warp, Barbie’s Nibbles Horse, Barbie’s Walking Beauty Horse, Real Talkin’ Bubba, Snack Time Cabbage Patch Kid, Baby This & That, Coochy Coo Baby, Planet Hollywood The Game, Nitro Dozer RC, Star Gymnast Jamie, Kasey Cartwheel, Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash, Hot Wheels Volcano Blow out, Hot Wheels, T-wrecks, Ooglies, These are only a few of the hundreds and hundreds of inventions that come from the creative minds at Big Monster Toys. Big Monster Toys founders came from the defunct toy and game-producing company Marvin Glass and Associates. Based in Chicago, the corporation is well-known for having a large front door that is constructed to look like a monster.
