Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament

The Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament is the Championship Tournament in basketball for the Big 12 Conference. The Tournament has been held every year since 1997. Seeding is based on regular season records. The top four teams in the regular season get a bye in the first round.

The tournament has been held in Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri in early March for all of its years except four: in 2003, 2004, and 2006 it was held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, and in 2007 it was held in the Ford Center at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.[1]

In 2008 it will be held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

Two winners of the tournament went on to the Final Four: Oklahoma in 2002 and Oklahoma St. in 2004.
