Dr. B.S. Sahay is the Director of Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, India.

As Director of IMT, Ghaziabad, his mandate is to give a new vision and transform IMT, Ghaziabad into a world-class school which is known for academic excellence, quality research, executive education and international linkages.
He has visited a number of countries and went to Germany and Japan under Fellowship Programmes. He has over 23 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, executive training, and industries.
He has worked both in India and abroad on various assignments for manufacturing and service industries.
His teaching, research and consulting interests include logistics and supply chain management, production and operations management, project management, productivity management and business modelling.
Dr. Sahay Co-Chaired the ILSC2004: International Conference on Logistics and Supply Chain on invitation of QUT. He had also organised OPSCON98: the first ever International Conference on Supply Chain Management for Global Competitiveness in India .

Dr. Sahay is the Editor of International Journal of Value Chain Management and Guest Editor of International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, International Journal of Technology Management, and International Journal of Integrated Supply Management.
He is on the Editorial Board of five international journals and many national journals. He has carried out 17 sponsored research projects and 35 consulting assignments and published/ presented over 130 papers in international/national journals and conferences.
He has published seven books titled -
- Productivity Management- A Systems Approach (Narosa),
- World-Class Manufacturing: A Strategic Perspective (Macmillan),
- Indian Supply Chain Architecture (Macmillan),
- Supply Chain Solutions (Macmillan),
- Supply Chain Management for Global Competitiveness (Macmillan),
- Supply Chain Management in the Twenty-First Century (Macmillan)
- Emerging Issues in Supply Chain Management (Macmillan).
His book on Productivity Management was given Escorts Book Award and ISTD National Book Award whereas book on World Class Manufacturing received ISTD National Book Award for the outstanding contribution to the understanding of management principles and practices.
In token of excellence of his research work, he has received the Award of Excellence in Research and two best paper awards.
Dr. Sahay is on the advisory board / expert committees of All India Council for Technical Education and many universities etc. He is Fellow of number of professional institutions including Institution of Engineers, Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering, Indian Institute of Public Administration , System Dynamics Society of India and World Academy of Productivity Science.
