[edit] Clean-up

Does anyone want to help make this look as good as the Publix article? Garrepi 05:41, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Sure, but we'll have to research Bi-Lo's history, back when it was formally known as Red Food.

[edit] Red Food

When was it ever known as Red Food, at least in Upstate SC? I've lived here for 43 years, and have worked as a contractor for Bi-Lo, and never knew that.Kf4mgz 03:42, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

As another Bi-Lo contractor, Red Food had 55 locations in Georgia and Tennessee, not in South Carolina. Alansohn 04:27, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Should the Bi-Lo article have some information about Red Food in it, or should Red Food have its own article? Parrothead1983 22:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Red Food's short jingle theme had these words spoken several times: "RED FOOD...Only The Best!". As soon as they changed the name to Bi-Lo, the first jingle theme for it had these words spoken only once: "Bi-Lo. The name fits.". Parrothead1983 01:31, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Split BiLo Foods

BiLo Foods is not related to the BI-LO in this article. Suggest this be split into a new article and a link be added to the BI-LO disambig page. (This article should also then be renamed to "BI-LO (South Carolina)" and the new article be named BiLo Foods, with no hyphen. Clipper471 00:34, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Split and rename per Clipper471. --Garrepi 08:51, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Keep as is, for now BiLo Foods seems too small to justify its own article. Why not keep it here and expand it with additional sources, and create a split article when justified. Alansohn 14:04, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Support. However, the text state that BiLo Foods "exists as a separate entity as part of the small Friedman's and Riverside Grocery Store chain." If that is accurate, then perhaps an article on that chain should be created, with BiLo Foods as part of it. But I do agree that there is not enough information at present to make a decent article. Given that Bi-Lo has a Hyphen, and BiLo Foods does not, I see no reason whatsoever to move this page at all. Besides, the Bi-Lo I shop at is in the United States, but it's not in South Carolina. Also, seeing that BI-LO (Australia) is being rebranded as Coles, it might make sense to move this page to just plain Bi-Lo, and move what's there to Bi-Lo (disambiguation). (Not proposing that just yet.) - BillCJ 04:02, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
