Bhuvanagiri is a panchayat town in Cuddalore district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

Bhuvanagiri is located at 11.47° N 79.63° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 11 metres (36 feet). Bhuvanagiri is located 8 kms from Chidambaram.

It is known for its Silk Sarees and Silk Textiles which are called as Bhuvanagiri Pattu.

There are two higher secondary schools in Bhuvanagiri - the Government Boys Higher Secondary School and the Government Girls Higher Secondary School. The Annamalai University is a few kms away from Bhuvanagiri.
