Bhopal Express

Bhopal Express is the daily superfast train connecting Hazrat Nizamuddin (New Delhi) to Habibganj (Bhopal). The train is numbered 2155 from HBJ till NZM and 2156 from NZM till HBJ.

The stoppages of this train are:

  1. Habibganj.
  2. Bhopal Jn.
  3. Vidisha.
  4. Ganj Basoda.
  5. Bina Jn.
  6. Jhansi Jn.
  7. Gwalior.
  8. Morena.
  9. Agra Cantt.
  10. Hazrat Nizamuddin.

The train departs from HBJ at 21:05 PM and reaches HZM at 08:05, while on return journey it departs NZM at 21:00 and reaches HBJ at 07:05.

This train holds the distinction of being fastest non-shatbdi, non-rajdhani train in India. It has a commercial speed of 69.5 Km/h.

The rack is hauled now a days by a Ghaziabad WAP-5 loco for whole journey. The rack consists of one First AC cum Second AC, one second AC, two third AC, Eleven Sleeper, Four General and Two parcel coaches.

It has achived prestigious Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award in small business category. It is also India's first ISO 9000-2001 certified train.

The salient features of this train include:

  1. No Pantry car.
  2. Coffee and Tea Vending machine in S-1 coach.
  3. Pizza, burger and cold drink outlet in S-2 coach.
  4. Purified water vending machine in S-3 and S-5 coach.
  5. It also has mobile charging points in each coach. Pretty handy at times.
  6. It also has one of the most vigilant Railway Security staff who patrol throughout the night.
Its First AC coach is GPS Enabled, it provides various information like distance till final destination, distance till next stop, is train running on time etc on LED display.
