Bhat (Hindi: भट, Urdu: بھٹ) is a Kashmiri tribe of the Kashmir region of India and Pakistan. It is also used as family name.

Bhats are Hindus of the pandit caste . With the advent of Islam in Kashmir many Bhat people were converted to Islam .

Batbayan - Batbai/Batpai (d. 690) was also the name of the eldest son of Bulgarian Kubrat Khan.
