Bhalwal is a city roughly half-way between Islamabad and Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan.

Bhalwal is an agricultural city famous for the production of "Kinno" (Orange). So it is also called "California of Pakistan". It is situated by River Jhelum which flows near its Sub-Division"Bhera". It is Tehsil of Distt. Sargodha.

One can adopt a route via M-2 (Motorway 2) from Islamabad or Lahore to reach Bhalwal via Salam Interchange. A route of Railway from Lalamusa to Sargodha also connects Bhalwal with other parts of country.

Bhalwal had a population of Hindus and Sikhs before the partition of India . The entire population was displaced from Sargodha at the time of the partition of India in 1947 . Hindu's and Sikhs from Bhalwal are now settled in India .

Bhalwal also had a population of many other minority faiths as well before the partition of India . The entire population was displaced from Sargodha at the time of the partition of India in 1947 with Armenians, Jews and anamists heading towards the urban center of Karachi principally but also Lahore, Peshawer and Rawalpindi.
