Bhakkar District

Bhakkar District (Urdu: بھکر) is one of the districts in the province of Punjab, Pakistan.Bhakkar
- It had a population of 1,051,456 of which 15.91% were urban in 1998.[1]
It is situated in the desert of Thal, however water is available in abundance.
- The Indus River traverse the Bhakkar from north to south. *Neighbouring areas are Layyah District to the south, North Western Frontier Province to the west, Mianwali District to the north, and Jhang District and Khussab District to the east.
- The main language is Seraiki and the main occupation is Agriculture.
