Bhairab is located at 24.0500° N 90.9875° E . It has 34419 units of house hold and total area 139.32 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Bhairab has a population of 192448. Males constitute are 51.11% of the population, and females 48.89%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 95910.
