Beverly LaHaye

Beverly LaHaye (born April 30, 1929) is a conservative activist and author.

Beverly LaHaye was best known for The Act of Marriage, a Christian sex self-help bestseller she co-authored with her husband, Tim, when she founded Concerned Women for America in 1979. In 2001, LaHaye hired two of America’s most prominent anti-gay leaders, Robert H. Knight and Peter LaBarbera, to launch CWA’s Culture & Family Institute.

She is married to Dr. Tim LaHaye. They have four children and nine grandchildren and live in the Los Angeles area.

LaHaye was quoted in a 2004 speech at the CWA conference as saying, "Yes, religion and politics do mix. America is a nation based on biblical principles. Christian values dominate our government. The test of those values is the Bible. Politicians who do not use the Bible to guide their public and private lives do not belong in office."
