Betty Kelley (born September 16, 1944 in Attalla, Alabama) is an American soul and R&B singer most famous for her tenure in the legendary Motown girl group, Martha and the Vandellas, and was a member of another Motown girl group The Velvelettes.
Kelley was originally a member of the Velvelettes between 1961 and 1964, until she was asked to replace departing Vandellas member Annette Sterling, who was retiring from the music business to start on a family. Kelley helped Martha & the Vandellas score hits such as "Dancing in the Street", "Nowhere to Run", "Jimmy Mack", and "Love Bug Leave My Heart Alone".
Kelley was fired from the Vandellas in 1967 and was replaced by Martha's sister Sandra "Lois" Reeves.
