Betty Corday (née Elizabeth Shay, March 21, 1912 — November 17, 1987) was a producer of the American television soap opera Days of our Lives.
Becoming executive producer after the death of her husband, Ted Corday (and being credited as Mrs. Ted Corday), she helped produce the serial in varying capacities from 1966 until her death in 1987. Betty Corday had previously been a Broadway stage actress, starring in "one flop after another" [1] before marrying her husband, a former lawyer and a then-recent migrant from Alberta, Canada. They were married from 1942 until his death in 1966.
Mrs. Corday had previously produced such radio soaps as Pepper Young's Family and Young Dr. Malone. In addition to her work on Days of our Lives, Corday was also a creative consultant for The Young and the Restless.
