Beth Tfiloh Congregation

Beth Tfiloh Congregation is the largest Modern Orthodox shul in North America. The leading Clergy are: Rabbi Mitchell Wohlberg, Rabbi Daniel Lerner, Rabbi Ross Singer, and Chazan Avraham Albrecht.

Beth Tfiloh Congregation was founded in 1927 with Rabbi Samuel Rosenblatt, son of the famous cantor Yossele Rosenblatt who served in that capacity until 1972 when he was named Rabbi Emeritus, then from 1972-1977 Rabbi David Novak served in the capacity of Chief Rabbi, then in 1978 Rabbi Wohlberg took over, and remains at the helm of the shul. It was founded in the Forest Park area of Baltimore City. The Owings mills campus was purchased in 1951 as a camp for the youth groups and to this day is used by Beth Tfiloh.

[edit] Merger with Beth Jacob

On March 8th, 2007 Beth Tfiloh announced that it would be merging with Beth Jacob Congregation, run by Rabbi Gavriel Newman.
