The tiny West Lancashire railway station of Bescar Lane is an old cottage-style stop on the Southport branch line, served by the Northern Rail franchise.

Trains passing through Bescar Lane bring the village to a halt, as the level crossing is across the main road.

The service to Southport and through to Manchester Airport is very infrequent Monday - Saturday at this station. This station is not served at all on Sundays
