This is probably the only metal oxide that is covalent.

Far from it, covalent and ionic are just two extremes, metal oxides cover the whole range in between. See for example manganese heptoxide, Mn2O7. Physchim62 10:33, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thermal conductivity

The thermal conductivity of BeO at 0°C is typically around 330 W·m−1·K−1, which is comparable to that of pure copper. Anyone know how to add this to the chembox table? DFH 20:53, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
