The claim that "Keckler" coined the term doesn't seem to have a source that conclusively shows that he was the first to use it.

Firstly, Keckler is a she.

This isn't just some random, anonymous poster claiming to have coined the term. She wrote recaps for the Star Trek section of TWoP and managed the forums. So she has a certain amount of credibility. --Sdet 10:25, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

It's hard to say exactly. Pre-2004 postings on on TWoP's Enterprise board have long been lost. We could probably find Bermaga references through endlessly trolling through archive.org, but there's no guarantee we'd find the first use. --Sdet 15:58, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
