Berwick, East Sussex

Berwick (pronounced BURwick) is a village and civil parish in the Wealden district of East Sussex in England, immediately to the south of the A27 road between Lewes and Eastbourne, near the River Cuckmere.
According to the 2001 census, Berwick had a population of 270. The village includes a "K6" red telephone box, a pub, and a church with murals inside depicting local people, and painted by members of the Bloomsbury set.

Berwick is served by Berwick (Sussex) railway station, which is actually located on the far (north) side of the A27, at the confusingly named settlement of: Berwick Station which has grown up around the railway station. Berwick's station is actually some distance from the village and is nearer the village of Arlington. Berwick railway station is located on the East Coastway Line south of Glynde and north of Polegate railway station.
