Bertrand Serlet is senior vice president of software engineering at Apple Inc.[1]. He succeeded Avie Tevanian to the position in July 2003[2]. In this position he has been primarily responsible for the release of the 10.4 versions of Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server and the upcoming 10.5 versions[3].

Before Apple he worked at Xerox[1], and NeXT[1].

He spoke at WWDC 2006, on the similarities between Mac OS X Tiger and Windows Vista, including the comparison of Apple Mac OS X Aqua interface, and Microsoft Vista's Aero interface. The video, available on Youtube has been popular amongst Apple Inc. fans.
