Berberism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Berberism is a political and a social movement across North Africa among Berbers. Berberism aspires to the recognition of the Berber culture and its language(s). Berberists see Northwest Africans as principally Berbers, whether they are Berber-speaking or Arabic-speaking. The movement began mainly among the Kabyles, from a region in Algeria.
