Five Pillars of Wikipedia
Float around for awhile until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. There are also many great committees and groups that focus on particular jobs. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English and Wikipedia:Cleanup for sloppy articles. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy.
There are a few crucial points to keep in mind when editing. Be civil with users, strive to maintain a neutral point of view, verify your information, and show good etiquette like signing your comments with four tildes like this: ~~~~ If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page or ask the true experts at Wikipedia:Help desk. Again, welcome! -- Draeco 03:57, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Hey
I've been working on merges (air vehicles, aquatic vehicles, starfighters, support craft, capital ships, and probably cargo ships) to reduce cruft and make everything organized, with main template links to fleshed-out articles (X-Wing, AT-AT, and so on). I do like the idea of having all vehicles on one page for even easier access. Even though we have redirect pages, it is always nice to have everything in one place even with multiple lists. Deckiller 22:19, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Nice work on the template; we can also do this for the Rebels as well. I added a see also list for the general vehicles lists. Deckiller 23:26, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Beowulph 23:32, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help on Broly article?
I know he's not everyone's favorite, but being the focal point in three movies does count for something. His page is a complete mess, and since the beginning of this month I've been trying to improve it. It's slow, but I've been meeting with some success. It's just that there's so much garbage there I'm getting bogged down. I'm midway through the first movie in the synopsis now.
This is the new name for the formerly anonymous me at 24.162.17.96 if you're curious. Guess I'm easily susceptible to suggestion. ^_^; Voice of Treason 18:19, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll help you out with it. Be warned, I remember alot of flak from ravenous fanboys last time. Beowulph 00:22, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Third opinions wanted ~~
I'm going to various contibuting editors to DragonBall articles to receive help and third opinions on a dispute between Zarbon and myself on the List of Frieza Related Characters in Dragon Ball. And lucky, lucky, you just so happen to be one. ^_^ Any input/discussion on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Papacha 15:02, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] *pause for effect* Hey yo~!
I've noticed some of the work you've been doing in the (long) uphill battle of making some of the Dragonball Z pages halfway decent. Just wanted to let you know it's not going unappreciated.
I've been through some wear and tear myself lately, and through those efforts these are some of the noteworthy DBZ pages I've heavily contributed to or created.

If you like, feel free to give me your opinions (read: praise) on what was done, and give me your thoughts on ways these articles could be improved in the future. Papacha 12:52, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:TenshinhanBuu.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:TenshinhanBuu.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ReyBrujo 04:19, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- The new DBZ game on the PS2 provides detailed description for every character in the game. In Tenshinhan's description it states that Tenshinhan comes from an unknown alien race, which explains his third eye and his ability to "divide" himself. In Chaozu's description it says that he's some sort of Vampire (I don't remember exactly what kind) and hence his pale pigmentation. Therefore according to the game none of those two is human. I'm not sure whether you can find this information in the series or in the manga, so far the game is my only source. Hakkinen 16:16, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your list IS worthwhile despite some deletionsists' point of view
The list (dragon ball puns) you created is/was up for deletion. I want you to know there is a place for it: http://wikitistics.com . No one will be able to nominate it for deletion because it fits one simple rule: it's a statistic, list, or figure. Good luck with your endeavors!Joe 02:50, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Comment..
Why did you remove ";Chonoryoku (Psychokinesis)" from Piccolo Jr.'s technique list? I added at the bottom of the sentence that it was an "anime only" move. Now I'm not sure how Piccolo Junior captured Gohan in the manga (If memory serves me right, he just grabbed him), but in the anime, young Gohan was magically lifted by a Psychic ability, likely "Chonoryoku". Please explain to me why you want it removed SO BADLY?... ... ... !Dragonball1986 03:56 pm, 06 October 2006 (UTC)
- I never removed it, I put it at the bottom of the page denoted for non-manga abilities. Beowulph 06:15, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] backslash vs. slash
Hello, I moved User:Beowulph\Abusive users to keep an eye on to User:Beowulph/Abusive users to keep an eye on. Backslashes do not work at all in subpages; subpages must use forward slash to be correctly recognised. Hope this helps! =) Since that particular subpage also appears to be listed on MfD, I will not remove the redirect right now for the sake of clarity, but I recommend requesting its speedy deletion once that's done. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 13:12, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Notice: A fellow user
A User:Zhahzha has been placing orphan tags on several Dragon Ball related images that are in current use. I'll revert this person's doings as soon as I'm done here, but I need you or any other Wikipedians to warn this person. Power level (Dragon Ball) 17:09, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wedding Saga
I noticed you helped create the Wedding Saga. I suggest this get moved to the Piccolo Junior Saga (where it came from) because there is no Wedding Saga. All that info should be where it belongs in the Majunior Saga. Okay? (not trying to be offensive) Tyar 22:08, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Why did you take out the last 5 episodes "Wedding Saga" part out of the Piccolo Junior Saga page? Those are episodes of the series! Wikipedia can't just not have something on them! Tyar 03:39, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] A new Dragon Ball attack list
I should let ya know too. Whenever you can, please see Talk:List of Dragon Ball special abilities#Garlic Gun. If you see that Garlic Gun there, that is just a sample of how the techniques should be classified and titled. I am going to change all of the techniques on the list (except Kamehameha, Dodonpa, Genki Dama, Kaio Ken and any others that were used as romaji names in the English manga/anime) into their literal English translation in about five days from now. This change will be similar as to how Bardock was changed to Burdock (name pun) and Hercule to Mr. Satan (which was his original Japanese/romaji name). Please comment on anything else if you have something you may want to add on to it. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 23:10, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- I posted a very good explanation on the talk page of the DB abilities list. Also, I noticed that you have a list of abusiive users you keep an eye on. I suggest that you (if you want to that is) keep an eye on Recoome since the person could very well be Zarbon again. You don't mind if I add Recoome and his IP sockpuppets on your list of abusive users, do you? Power level (Dragon Ball) 16:49, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think you missed a few more Dragon Ball characters with that new category you created. Also, you never answered me from above. Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:42, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Its me Power level again. If a fictional character that is categorized as Category:Magic users in comics then is there no need for Category:Fictional magic users? Well, is there? Also, when did Piccolo Jr. use some form of telekinesis in the manga so I could add that psychic category for him also? I know his father did it when he got the Dragonballs from the ground where Roshi hid them... Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:59, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- I really hope you respond this time... Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:59, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Question - if Piccolo Jr. used telekinesis in the anime, that means I can't add Category:Fictional characters with telekinesis for him since filler contradicts the manga, right? Also, I noticed that you kept an eye on User:Zarbon, am I right? I suggest you keep an eye on User:Recoome from now on instead. Zarbon's been blocked indefinitely and his unblock request was denied so there's no need for you to keep an eye on him anymore. Many of us that dealt with Zarbon in the past have noticed that the abusive user Recoome has acted very much like Zarbon including on the Action figure article; if you check that article's history page, you'll see that sockpuppets were used by Recoome recently. They were taken care of. Anyways, get back to me on that Piccolo Jr. psychokinesis thing. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 05:15, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- I noticed that you and Dark Dragon Flame have been having a little dispute on the Piccolo Jr. article. I'll read to you a quote from the VIZ Dragon Ball manga regarding Piccolo's statement at the 23rd Tenkaichi Tournament: "...of course I look like him!!! I am the Great Demon King's reincarnation!!!!" Doesn't that signify that he is Piccolo Daimao himself? Junior inherited all of his father's memories and abilities up until the time of the Great Demon [Piccolo Daimao] King's defeat. It's not that I'm against you or anything, but I agree with Dark Dragon Flame. He is the reincarnated son of his former self, get it? It can be confusing at first. It took me awhile to comprehend it. Power level (Dragon Ball) 05:35, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Can you comment on the Piccolo page for this one? I'd like to try and centralize that discussion. Beowulph 05:41, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Done. I sent a message to Dark Dragon Flame about it also. Power level (Dragon Ball) 05:50, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- I guess Category:Dragon Ball Supporting Characters will be deleted, huh? Are you gonna begin a deletion entry for it? Also, were you convinced by that quote I gave you from the manga? Power level (Dragon Ball) 06:12, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Reversions to Dragon Ball articles
It could have something to do with the fact that you were removing categories from articles (only two that I know of) without stating why. In your most recent edit summaries to General Rilldo and Grandpa Son Gohan, you said you were "remov[ing] super categories," so I decided not to revert those edits. I appologize if I caused any kind of trouble. Happy editing! // PoeticDecay 15:27, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dragonball Wiki
- Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 02:34, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] List of Earthlings in Dragon Ball
Why did you move the page after I had moved it to its proper title? Now, I can't move it back. So, what to do? Power level (Dragon Ball) 18:13, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Proper title? "earthlings" was improper capitalization. Beowulph 19:22, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Know what? Do what ya like then, I don't care anymore. Go ahead and put the reincarnation thingy on the Piccolo Jr. article then. I don't wanna argue about it anymore. Power level (Dragon Ball) 21:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- "earthlings" doesn't need to be capitalized, so you created a bunch of double redirects for nothing. ~SnapperTo 23:37, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Uhm, what? How can Earthlings not need to be capitalized? Would you say that people from Texas are "texans"? Ever seen it reported as "An american citizen"? Proper places are capitalized. Beowulph 05:15, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Most of the Google hits are titles of things, so "earthling" is capitalized along with many other words that wouldn't ordinarily be capitalized. When looked up in a dictionary, "earthling" is given, and there is no indication that it needs to be capitalized. Furthermore, spellcheck doesn't suggest that "earthling" be capitalized, while it does with "Texan", "American", "Japanese", etc. I realize it doesn't matter all that much, but I spent a good deal of time taking care of double redirects, and I'm not thrilled that my work was undone for something that doesn't matter. ~SnapperTo 05:30, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Demons in Dragon Ball
Hey there I just moved the demons from List of aliens in Dragon Ball to the List of deities in Dragon Ball as agreed in the WikiProject's talk page unfortunately I need to go, can you do me a favor and deal with the redirects I listed the name of all of them in my edit summaries in case you need to know wich one I moved, thanks for your time. -Dark Dragon Flame 03:39, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind that I just finished it, anyways can you check for double redirects? -Dark Dragon Flame 05:57, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Piccolo
well you should of seen how the article discribed Piccolo's power before. And the manga clearly states durring the battle with 17 after Piccolo fuses with Kami that he and 17 are 'dead even'. Also about the giant form thing i admit it is a bit of a stretch to put it on there but I really couln't think of another way to discribe it and it really does look like Piccolo gets bigger for example look at pages 84 and 82. can't we at least mention the increased mass? [edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:GinyuFrog.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:GinyuFrog.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
