I just saw the scene in "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" in which Benny Carter plays a slowwwww, beautiful ballad on ALTO sax (not tenor, as written in the biography) in a Parisian night club.

[edit] soli not solo

I clarified that when a section plays a solo in unison, it is referred to as a "soli".

[edit] a bit random

I added a couple of facts and rearranged things a little, but this is still a bit random and redundant. Could use some tightening and cleaning up. Sojambi Pinola 16:06, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
