I actually can read French a little and the French version is much better than this. I'll see what I can make out, but I'm not great at French. (Or any non-English language to be honest)--T. Anthony 07:48, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

It seems to say he did something(worked with/for?) the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Also that he preferred big bands to small arrangements and was one of the major figures of Bebop, well at least to Europeans. Also something about German premier and a big band in Cologne. I don't know how to put that in the article as it's kind of a rough translation, but there's some I'm clear on.--T. Anthony 07:55, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
