David Pakman was born in 1984 and is nationally syndicated, so it seems to no longer be accurate that Ferguson is the youngest at this point.

There may be an error in the last line of the transcript from CNN -- reviewing the video might help. Randi has said before on her show that what you learn in the military is that you are only as strong as your weakest link -- i.e., the social justice argument of liberalism. I think she might have been saying in the last line: "Because you're only as good as the weakest. And that's [what] you [learn] in the military." Speficically, the reason these Iraqi Freedom vets come back and run as Dem Reps is their military training. If we (Americans) are only as strong as our weakest link, we need to shore up our weakest links, the poor, the disenfranchised, etc. --216.77.3.4 08:50, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Larry King Live Incident

Does this really belong in this article? I don't think it's fair to call this an "incident." Pundits go on talk shows all the time, is it really necessary to report on a particular appearance? This was pretty run-of-the-mill stuff and in my opinion it is not noteworthy enough to have in the article, let alone a seperate section. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? I think that given that this is his first appearance in the "big league" (since he started the baseball analogy), I think it does belong in the article. --Asbl 19:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

This isn't anywhere CLOSE to his first appearance in the "big league." He has been a pundit for some time now and has appeared on most of the major news shows. He was all OVER the place prior to the 2004 election. Giles22 20:05, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

I changed "incident" to "appearance" for the time being, but I really think that this section should be deleted. It is simply not noteworthy and is unnecessary. I suspect that the motivation for including this information is deeply POV.Giles22 23:16, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

According to the 1200 WOAI profile, Ben has appeared on MSNBC’s Scarborough Country, The Abrams Report, CNN’s American Morning, 360 with Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer Reports. Ferguson has also appeared on Fox News’ O’Reilly Factor, Dayside with Linda Vester, Studio B with Shepard Smith, Your World with Neil Cavuto and the Fox Report, among others. He also spoke at the 2004 Republican convention. Why give such prominence to an isolated conversation on one of his many appearances? Giles22 23:24, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

I belive that including this section is deeply POV. Can you give me any other arguments otherwise? Just cause you think that Randi Rhodes "got" Ben with a rhetorical flourish doesn't mean this should be included. Can we summarize and quote from all the other appearances Ben has done? If so, I can dig those up and add about 20-30 summaries of Ben's media appearances.Giles22 20:33, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

I concur. I have no idea who Ben Ferguson is or why I should care that he appeared on Larry King Live. There is nothing establishing the noteability of this appearance and why it should be included in this encyclopedia article. --ElKevbo 15:39, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
