Benson Whitney

Benson K. Whitney is the current United States Ambassador to Norway. He was managing general partner of the Gideon Hixon Fund and former President of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association. He was also chief executive officer of Whitney Management Company. Whitney was the Minnesota Executive Director and Minnesota Finance Chair for the Bush-Cheney 2004 presidential campaign. Whitney has a BA magna cum laude from Vassar College and a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School. His father, Wheelock Whitney, Jr. was a classmate of George H.W. Bush at Phillips Andover[1]
