In chess, A67 is the ECO code for the Modern Benoni, Taimanov Variation chess opening. It arises from the moves 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 e6 4.Nc3 exd5 5.cxd5 d6 6.e4 g6 7.f4 Bg7 8 Bb5+. The Taimanov Variation is also known as the 'Flick-Knife Attack' and is one of the strongest variations for White against the Modern Benoni. Garry Kasparov, Joel Lautier and Vlastimil Hort have favored this variation. 8...Nfd7 is considered the safest response to the check; 8...Nbd7 is also playable but more risky.
