Benito Juárez, Guerrero

Benito Juárez is a municipality (municipio) in the Mexican state of Guerrero. The municipal seat is the town of San Jerónimo de Juárez.

The municipality stands at 17°11′N 100°30′W, on the Pacific coast between Acapulco and Zihuatanejo, covering 284.9 km². It is drained by the Río Atoyac. In the year 2000 census, it reported a population of 15,448.

It was named in honour of 19th-century president and patriot Benito Juárez.
