Benidorm is a British television comedy produced by Tiger Aspect for ITV1 and written by Derren Litten, co-writer of The Catherine Tate Show. It first aired on Thursday February 1, 2007 at 10pm. A second series was announced on March 1, 2007 which will be filmed later in the year.

Benidorm revolves around the world of package holidays and is set in the Spanish resort of Benidorm. Starring in the series is Johnny Vegas as Geoff Maltby a.k.a. The Oracle, Elsie Kelly as Geoff's mum, Steve Pemberton as Mick Garvey, Nicholas Burns as Martin Weedon, Janine Duvitski as Jacqueline Stewart, Hugh Sachs as Gavin Ramsbottom, Kenny Ireland as Donald Stewart, Abigail Cruttenden as Kate Weedon, Paul Bazely as Troy, Siobhan Finneran as Janice Garvey, Hannah Hobley as Chantelle Garvey and Oliver Stokes as Michael Garvey. Benidorm was filmed at the Hotel Sol Pelicanos-Ocas in Benidorm, many of the extras featured in the series are local expats. The neptune bar where most of the cabaret scenes are shown was in fact shot in Morgan's Tavern bar across the road from the hotel due to lack of space in the hotel bar's. The reception area shown on screen was shot in the secondary reception of the hotel.
