Benfieldside is a parish in County Durham, in England. Although not a village in its own right it is signposted and locally known. Benfieldside refers to Benfieldside Road and the adjoining streets which are situated to the South of Shotley Bridge (Village). The Parish Church is St. Cuthbert which is situated on Church Bank. It is situated directly to the north-west of Consett, to which it is effectively attached. Also nearby are the River Derwent, Shotley Bridge, Bridgehill, and Blackhill.
