Beneath the Remains is a music album released in 1989 by Sepultura through Roadrunner Records. Many fans consider this album, along with 1991's Arise, to be the pinnacle of the band's earlier, "pure thrash" period. The album was recorded December 15-28, 1988 at Nas Nuvens Studio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
