[edit] History

Benaguasil was built by an important Arabic family, al-Wazir, over the ruins of a Roman villa. This category is for municipalities in the province of Valencia, one of the three provinces which make up the autonomous community of Valencia, in the country of Spain.

The country of Spain is administratively divided into seventeen autonomous communities (comunidades autónomas), and five enclaves of sovereignty (plazas de soberanía) on the African coast, which include the two autonomous cities (ciudades autónomas) of Ceuta and Melilla).

These seventeen autonomous communities group together and preserve some fifty Provinces {provincias), which have an older historical formation.

Within each autonomous community/province are numerous local government divisions, or municipalities, generally centered around a city, town, village or rural area.
