Ben Watson (born July 9, 1985 in London, England) is an English footballer who plays for Crystal Palace in The Championship. He wears the number 14 shirt and is a midfielder.
Ben Watson made his debut aged 17 in April 2003, he gave a good performance and kept his place in the side for the final four games of the season. He made 16 appearances in the 2004/2005 season and has made a regular place for himself in the first team.
He has represented England in the under-21s team.
This was all capped by being named as Palace's "Young Player of The Year" for 2006, as well as being one of just six nominees for the "Carling Cup New Talent Award", drawn up by the Football Writers' Association.
Ben Watson attended Bacons' City Technology College between the years 1996 and 2003.
He has been linked with the English Premiership team Bolton Wanderers on numerous occasions but no deal has ever materialised.
