Ben James Matthew Scott (born August 4, 1981) is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper.
Born in Isleworth, Middlesex, Scott started his career at Middlesex, moving to Surrey for one season, before moving back to Middlesex in 2004.
Scott had had limited wicket-keeping opportunities, prior to the absence of David Nash due to an injury in 2004. During this time, he claimed his first century against Northamptonshire. He made 50 dismissals in 2005, ensuring Middlesex avoided relegation.
Ben is a new talent in English cricket and is believed to be one of the best skilled glovemen since Alan Knott. After switching sponsorship for the 2006 season to Kookaburra he is looking forward to a solid and progressive year.
