[edit] Overview
Moody worked on the track "Nobody's Home" on Avril Lavigne's sophomore record, "Under My Skin", and wrote and recorded the track "The End Has Come" for The Punisher film soundtrack. He also collaborated with David Hodges, and Kelly Clarkson on Clarkson's most recent album, Breakaway. Moody and Hodges helped co-write Clarkson's single "Because of You" and "Addicted". He has also collaborated with Lindsay Lohan on her recent album A Little More Personal (Raw), as well as produced the song "My World" (a cover from SR-71) on Bo Bice's debut CD "The Real Thing". Moody is currently working on a feature film with his startup movie company Makeshift Films. He also made a brief cameo as a zombie in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, as well as contributing to the soundtrack. In addition, he has recently finished recording his solo debut, Can't Regret What You Don't Remember which is set to be released in 2007.
Since April, 2006, Ben has been coproducing and cowriting with Michael "Fish" Herring (Prince, Christina Aguilera) the full debut CD of Billings, MT singer/songwriter Hana Pestle (http:/www.myspace.com/hanatunes). The currently untitled album will contain 15 songs coproduced by Ben and 10 that he cowrote and has a planned summer 2007 release date. Ben also performs piano, guitar, and back-up vocals on the CD.
Ben also recently collaborated with singer Anastacia on the song "Everything Burns", which was featured on the soundtrack of the film Fantastic Four in 2005.
Ben also produced the new album of Godhead, The Shadow Line along with Godhead and Julian Beeston. Ben actually appears in the band's video for "Push".
Moody played lead guitars for the "song for tsunami relief," "Forever in Our Hearts," available exclusively on iTunes.
A video surfaced on You Tube in December 2006 that shows Ben Moody and Kelly Clarkson riding in the back of a van with known adult filmmaker and singer for Society 1 Matt Zane en route to vandalize Evanescence's lead singer Amy Lee's house. During the clip Ben actually throws numerous rolls of toilet paper into the trees and over the house while laughing. The video turned out to be staged.[1] and the TP'd house was not Amy Lee's.
He once again collaborated with David Hodges on American Idol Chris Daughtry's debut album DAUGHTRY for the piano-laden, emotionally-driven song "What About Now".
Moody is currently working with Celine Dion on her new album and preparing for the release of his own album in late March.
