[edit] History

Ben Lomond High School gets its name from the Scots that go There. The mountain resembled their own Ben Lomond in Scotland near Loch Lomond. This local cultural influence gave the school its theme, including bagpipers, scottie dog mascot, and students are known as "Friendly Fighting Scots". The School Hymn written by Richard Packham is sung to the tune of The Bonnie Banks O' Loch Lomond.

[edit] Bond

Residents of Ogden passed a bond in June 2006 to obtain money to rebuild/refurbish Ben Lomond as well as other Ogden city schools. Construction and demolition on Ben Lomond High will commence in June/July 2007. Portable classrooms will be used to temporarily house students/teachers in affected parts of the school.
