[edit] Toolbox item
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that in you toolset you have {{filmimage}} as {filmimage}}, so it doesn't display. :) Hoverfish Talk 19:14, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Oh, sorry, I seem to be the dumb one here by assuming you work like me (I copy my templates from a text page "toolset"). If it was only in Below (film), which I corrected, forgive my remark. Hoverfish Talk 19:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:GoingPlacesFilm.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:GoingPlacesFilm.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Mika (singer)
Hi there! Do you mind if I ask why you changed the Cats on Mika (singer)? ConDemTalk 18:34, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- That's cool, I was just wondering about the deletion of the "Mika"s. Sounds good though. ConDemTalk 18:41, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Film-editor-stub category
User:Luigi Bob has recently been creating articles on some notable film editors and has brought it to my attention that a stub category doesn't exist for film editors. As film editors are a part of film and help to rid of red links in films please lend your support or opposition at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. There are hundreds not stub categoirzed as editors and there are many many missing from wikipedia and I beleive they are an important part of the film making process. Thanks Ernst Stavro Blofeld 22:57, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: spam
Sure thing. You might want to check out WP:EL for more info on spam and external links. John Reaves (talk) 20:06, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Car desgners
Talk pages without articles shouldn't exist (unless they are archive pages), so if you find any, please add {{db-talk}} instead of just blanking it. Thanks! Awyong J. M. Salleh 23:42, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Lesbian novels
“ | Do you think we might run into trouble with what exactly constitutes a "lesbian novel"? ie is it any novel by a lesbian author, one dominated by lesbian themes, main character lesbian, featuring minor lesbian characters / subplots? Maybe it should be something more along the lines of the "LGBT-related films" category. | ” |
What do you think of the name "lesbian-themed novels"? — Emiellaiendiay 18:13, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I looked at the subcategories of Category:Novels, and it none seem to fit, so I'd say Category:Novels is just fine. — Emiellaiendiay 23:49, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] link removal on New Monkees
I reverted your removal of an external link for Unofficial site at New Monkees simply 'cause it's a very comprehensive site with lots of information, and the only one of its kind. —Fitch 00:45, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Link to FranksFilms
I understand the concern that Wikipedia links not be used for advertizing and self promotion. However, FranksFilms does NOT feature any advertizing. Most other regular film links, such as "Internet Movie Database", "Rotten Tomatoes", and "Roger Ebert", are crazy with advertizing and use such links to draw eyes to that advertizing. FranksFilms does NOT engage in promotion. The author's name doesn't appear on the site, and thus does not benefit from increased hits.
Feedback has been very positive that readers have found useful insights and information from the site. However, I would not want to violate Wikipedia policy by contributing such links to these movie pages. Rather, I would prefer to work within the rules.
Would you consider the merits of the links, or, would you suggest ways to improve my contributions within the current standards?

[edit] Joel Michaely
I tagged Joel Michaely for speedy deletion. Any of WP:CSD A1, A3, A7, or G11, might apply. Angus McLellan (Talk) 21:31, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- True, it's a bit of stretch, but a weblink to the guy's website and his IMDB page is effectively advertising when there's not an article to go along with the links. I'm not suggesting that you're spamming or anything like that. It's just that it could, depending on who sees it, end up tagged that way. "No context" or "empty" are the most obvious ones though. Are you wanting to expand it? I can remove the tag if you like. Angus McLellan (Talk) 21:44, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
