Belvidere Assembly

Belvidere Assembly is a DaimlerChrysler automobile factory in Belvidere, Illinois. The factory opened in 1965 and was converted to produce the Neon in 1993. Neon production ended on September 23, 2005. The nearby Belvidere Satellite Stamping facility opened that same year. Chrysler recalled 1,000 laid off factory workers on March 14, 2006 to begin production on the Caliber and Compass.
