Belvedere (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Belvedere was a Canadian punk rock band formed in 1995. Originally not meant to play a show, they gained a cult following in Canada's punk scene. Known for their blazing fast speed and melodic vocals, the band have also appeared on the Warped Tour and Groezrock Festival bills.
On May 23, 2005, Belvedere drummer Graham Churchill stated that they decided to call it quits. They went on a farewell tour across North America, performing their last show in Calgary, Alberta.
Lately many of the band members have started new projects. Graham Churchill and Steve Rawles, from Belvedere and John Meloche from Forty Cent Fix have started the band This Is A Standoff, which has recently put its new songs up on myspace and is planning on releasing an album soon.
