Bellemoor School is a boys' comprehensive school in Southampton, Hampshire, in the south of England.

Its most notable former pupil is the R&B singer Craig David. Other famous ex-pupils include former Southampton Football Club defender Francis Benali and former Hampshire County Cricket Club wicket keeper Adrian Aymes.

New leadership team effect outstanding progress, school out of special measures in three terms, key stage 3 Maths results now place school in top 25% of UK schools. Successful start to accelerated curriculum resulted in high number of level 8 awards. Continued sporting success across all sports including rowing and athletics.

Despite this, Bellemoor School is attracting a lower number of new pupils every year. To make up for the lack of pupils, the school will welcome girls between the ages of 11-16 to join from the start of the 07-08 term.

Bellemoor was featured in The Guardian newspaper in January 2007, in a story about satellite photos on the internet, which show a 6-metre-long depiction of a penis on the school lawn. Two unnamed pupils had drawn it using weed killer two years previously and although the areas had since been reseeded, the photos were taken before this. [1]

Although many deemed the school a failure, others like headteachre Ms Cassie Ellins, thought about the positives and are striving to take the school forward in the coming years.

Recently the higher management of Bellemoor started rewarding the children who arn't achieving with "bribes" (called "gifts, "to motivate these students"), all the students who are achieving feel this is very unfair and that the amount of money being spent on these "gifts could be put to better use.

As well as ruining the good things at Bellemoor, Ms Ellins also changed the school logo, instead of the badge that has been there since the school was built, Ms Ellins decided to change the logo to something she found on Clipart. It is a little picture of a star which has absolutely nothing to do with Bellemoor or Southampton.

In addition the schools PE department is one of the most strong in the county of Hampshire. Although it being a small school the school keep reeling out great sportsmen year after year. This is down to the excellent teaching of the staff and credit has to be given to the head of department. The school are constantly favourites for the City of Southampton Athletic Championships. They win the football and basketball leagues and tournaments regularly and the hockey team is going from strength to strength.
