From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Belle Air is an airline based in Tirana, Albania offering international flights to several cities in Italy. It was established in May 2005. Belle Air announced in April 2006 that they plan to start direct flights between Albania and the United States in 2007. Just 8 months after starting operations, on November 17th 2006 Belle Air announced that it had sold its 100.000th ticket. The airlines has grown at a tremendous rate, especially when considering its performance and route network compared to that of Albania's national airline, Albanian Airlines which has been in business for over 10 years. On December 15th 2006 the airline received another aircraft, this time a Fokker 100 which it leased from Montenegro Airlines. One day later a 3rd aircraft was added, an ATR 42 leased from Viaggio Air. For 2007 the airline has added new destinations including Ancona, Bari, Pescara, Parma, Milan, London and Treviso
