From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Belgrave High School is a 11-18 Comprehensive school in Tamworth, Staffordshire. It is a member of the Specialist Schools Trust, having the Science & Mathematics status.

The school was originally founded with just the one building called "The White Block" back in 1978 and later went on to open up the "New Block" in 1981 for it's additional pupils. This "New Block" was later renamed in 1995 as it was no longer considered new. The school canteen was originally placed in the "White Block" but later got moved to the "New Block". The area of the "White Block" that was occupied by the canteen is now used as a Youth Club.

The school's current headteacher, Simon Turney, has turned the school around, with many major updates and modifications currently being made to the school. Such changes currently in place include a purpose-built examination building, security fencing and high-tech CCTV.

The school serves the primary schools within the local area, including St. Gabriels, Lakeside, The Dales, Stonydelph, Two-Gates, Hanbury's Farm and Birds-Bush.
