The Belgians chose their entries in 2003 and 2004 in the program Eurosong for Kids, in 2003 organized by the Flemish broadcaster VRT, in 2004 organized by RTBF. In 2005, the selection was called 'Eurokids', and a common project of these two broadcasters. In 2006 only VRT chose the Belgian entry, so the all the potential entries were Dutch.
X!NK and Thor! sang in Dutch, Free Spirits and Lindsay sang in French. Belgium has confirmed their participation for 2007.
The 2005 Dutch participant Tess lives in Belgium.
