Belgica ordinarily denotes the Roman province of Gallia Belgica.
- In the Roman province, a mixture of Germanic and Gaulish peoples were referred to by Romans as Belgae
- The Seventeen Provinces of the Low Countries, later divided in:
- Belgica Foederata or the federal Dutch Republic
- Belgica Regia or the royal Southern Netherlands
- The kingdom of Belgium revived the toponym in a new form in 1830.
- RV Belgica has been the name of two Belgian scientific research vessels, of 1884 and 1984.
- The Belgian Antarctic Expedition was named after the first Belgica.

- The Belgica Mountains in Antarctica were named after the first research vessel.
- The Belgica Mounds are seamounts in the Porcupine Bight in the NE Atlantic. They were named after the RV Belgica which investigated these features during a scientific cruise in 1997.
