The Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Assembly) (Biełaruskaja Sacyjal-Demakratyčnaja Partyja (Hramada)) is a political party in Belarus, that opposes the regime of president Alexander Lukashenko.
At the last legislative elections, 13-17 october 2004, the party was part of the People's Coalition 5 Plus (Narodnaja Kaalicyja Piaciorka Plus), that didn't secure any seat. These elections fell according to the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission [1] significantly short of OSCE commitments. Its candidate at the presidential election of 2006, Alaksandar Kazulin, won 2.3 % of the vote.
Called "Hramada" in Belarusian, meaning party or association, they first formed in 1902 in Moscow. It proposed the formation of a Belarusian state as a first step toward the solution of social problems (Ronald Suny, National Revolutions).
