Belarusian First League

The Belarusian First League is the second division of professional football in Belarus. There are 14 teams in the competition. At the end of the season two teams get promoted to the Belarusian Premier League and two get relegated from the Belarusian Premier League into the Belarusian First League. It is organized by the Belarusian Football Federation.
FC Minsk won the 2006 Belarusian First League and have been promoted to the Belarusian Premier League along with second placed team FC Smorgon.
