Talk:Bega Valley Shire Council
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I wouldn't say Bega Valley is "particularly known" for its tourist and oyster industries. Bega Valley cheese is known around the state, if not the country.--Myk 00:47, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Tourism is/ has been a much more important industry than the cheese industry to the Bega Valley for at least thirty years! Whilst I agree with the comment the oyster industry is of growing importance, it too has been around a long time (since the early 1890s)! Como006 15:57, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- "Important to" and "known for" are two completely different things. If you stop twenty random people around New South Wales and ask them what happens in Bega Valley, cheese making is going to feature in the answers far more than anything else. --Myk 00:56, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

- "If you stop twenty random people around New South Wales". Stop twenty random people in Melbourne or Canberra and ask the same question ;) SilentC 03:43, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I guess this is a case of agree to disagree! Como006 03:54, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm happy with the current wording if you are, though obviously, the entire article could be expanded a lot. I don't really have any good resources to do so. --Myk 16:29, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
No worries, I hope to expand on it slowly!Como006 00:26, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
